Teen driver’s ED
In-Person or Online?
South Carolina requires 8 hours of “Classroom” instruction for teens who are 15 or 16 years old. We offer two ways for you to get those hours; either In-Person or Online.
In-Person - We split our In-Person class into two 4-hour sessions, offered on two consecutive Saturdays per month. Rather than sitting in a classroom for a full 8 hours, we’ve found that our students are more attentive and more engaged with these shorter sessions. Each class is from 9am to 1pm. The curriculum is different for each class, so after you register, make sure you select Part A and Part B on the Calendar.
Online - If you prefer to start right way and work at your own pace, choose our state approved Online Course.
Teen “Plus” Packages
The minimum state requirement for Behind-The-Wheel (BTW) lessons is 6 hours (3 lessons). We offer packages below that include one extra lesson at a discounted rate for a total of 8 hours (4 lessons) Behind the Wheel.

You also have the option to take the SCDMV-Approved Road Test with our friendly, personable State Certified Examiners.
For 15 and 16 year old drivers, we are proud to offer the state-approved “Teach Safe” online self-paced Driver Education course. This course is approved by SCDMV and meets the 8-hour classroom requirement for driver education. The course allows you to complete the class at your convenience and your own pace. You can choose to do 15 minutes per day, or if you are highly motivated, you can complete the course in one day! It's completely up to you.
We highly recommend this excellent course! It is engaging with video and audio clips for each section, review quizzes along the way, and covers virtually every topic you need to understand to safely navigate today's busy roadways with skill and confidence.
You can schedule your behind-the-wheel lessons after completing your online course. Our experienced, state-certified instructors conduct all driving lessons .
We currently offer school pick up from several Lexington Area High Schools. We also offer home pick up/drop off in the surrounding areas. See the Map at the bottom of this page for more information about Pick Up Locations.
If you are outside of our home pick-up area, we have several convenient meeting spots to choose from.

MANEUVERS ONLY
This is a one-hour class that will focus on the 4 “slow-moving maneuvers” that students need to know in order to pass their SCDMV Road Test.
We can not provide home pick-up for this class. The class will begin and end at White Knoll High School.

GETTING YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE
If you are 15 or 16, you must complete an 8-hour driver education class (either Online or in-person) and six hours of behind-the-wheel lessons before obtaining a driver's license in South Carolina.
If you are 17, you must hold a Beginner's Permit for a full 180 days. Then you can take the test for your driver's license the next day. We recommend you purchase one of our bundles for teens, but we also offer adult options for driving lessons without the class.
